With this post I start to give to you information about all the summer events for 2011 in Puglia: jazz festival, rock and electronic concerts with some suggestions on where to find the summer movida. The first rumors say that this year will be full of events like the last one, the first news is that one of the biggest italian rock festival will be in Lecce: Italia Wave Love Festival 2011. But, I will write later about it, now I want to suggest to you the Cube Festival 2011 which will be held in Gallipoli on 12, 14 and 16 August with the main artists Ellen Allien, Subsonica and Caparezza. Following is the programme of the festival.

12 August
Live: T.B.A. | DJset: Ellen Allien
The first part of the night will see the concert of an italian band we still don’t know which one. Then, the djset of Ellen Allien, the electro-minimal star coming from Berlin.

14 August
Live: Subsonica + guests | DJset: Subsonica
It is one of the most important rock, electro, dub and dance italian band from Turin. After the concert the band will have a djset untill the sunset.

16 August
Live: Caparezza + guests | DJset: T.b.a.
The most irriverent and creative italian rapper with an explosive mix of rock, reggae and rap to have a good time all togheter. After the concert there will be a Capa-Style djset.

As you have read, there are still few things to define, but the programme is already done, more or less. I think it’s the first time Ellen Allien comes to Salento area, not for Caparezza and Subsonica. Gallipoli reconfirms itself like the capital of the Salento summer movida with other concerts I will tell to you in the next days.
