The last winter, I had the pleasure to get in touch with the guys of the Lonely Planet to give them some information about Puglia. The occasion was the writing of the Lonely Planet guide book’s first edition dedicated to the South of Italy: Southern Italy. Thus, for the first time the travel publishing house, leader in the world, decided to dedicate one of its publications to this part of Italy, sign of the increasing interest of the travellers for the discovery of the destinations like Puglia, but also Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Sicily and Sardinia. From a short email exchange with the writers, we switched to a more professional partnership. At last, they mentioned us into travel guides (the Southern Italy guide and also the generic guide Italy, the latter, arrived to its tenth edition, represents the most sold guide in Europe) describing us in the following way.
In both guides, the website www.thepuglia.com is introduced in the section Lecce & Salento, our context. Exactly, like this:
“The Puglia. Voted the most popular blog on Puglia in Italy, this informative site run by Fabio Ingrosso covers culture, history, food, wine and accommodation and travel in Puglia”. You can find us on page 711 of the guide about Italy and on page 117 of the Southern Italy guide. For all of us, this is an important goal, that means we are working well and, obviously, we would like to work always better. All that means that we must continue to work in this way: competence and transparency about the research of the houses and the villas to rent for the holidays in Salento; competence and transparency about the truthful travel advice to give to all of you, who numerous contact us every day; finally, competence and transparency about the management concerning the buying and selling of real estate.
I leave you with the links where you can deepen the two Lonely Planet guides, available to buy online:
In the meantime: have a good journey!
